
Koh Chan ā Samae San

Located among the near islands, this beautiful site offers numerous shallow coral gardens, gentle slopes, and a scenic wall that descends to a maximum depth of 16 meters. The island features several easy entry points and many shallow spots filled with hard corals, sea whips, and rocky formations covered in marine growth. Along the southern side of the island, divers can explore a charming little wall where schools of reef fish gather and macro enthusiasts can search for hidden critters among the corals.
Koh Chan is home to a surprising diversity of marine life including angelfish, butterflyfish, bannerfish, pufferfish, rabbitfish, nudibranchs, moray eels, and occasionally blue-spotted stingrays resting on the sandy patches.
