Advanced Sidemount Diver

Refine Your Skills. Improve Your Efficiency. Dive with Precision.

Are you a certified sidemount diver looking to sharpen your edge? The Progressive Sidemount Diver course bridges the gap between recreational sidemount diving and the precision, awareness, and control required for more demanding diving environments.

Over two intensive days, you'll move beyond basic equipment setup and become a more streamlined, self-sufficient diver. Through advanced drills and realistic scenarios, you'll develop better buoyancy, communication, gas management, and problem-solving skills while building confidence in your sidemount configuration.

Advanced Underwater Communication

Effective communication is essential in challenging environments. This course teaches you to maintain awareness and control while managing multiple tasks underwater.

• One-Handed Signaling – Communicate clearly while holding a reel, guideline, or torch.

• Light & Torch Signals – Use beam sweeps, circles, and flashes to communicate effectively in low visibility conditions.

• Touch Contact Protocols – Maintain team awareness and navigate safely during simulated low-visibility situations using tactile signals.

Precision Planning & Gas Management

Move beyond simply checking your gauges and learn proactive dive planning techniques.

• Rule of Thirds – Apply gas planning principles for complex dive routes and extended exploration.

• SAC Rate & Gas Calculations – Calculate your personal gas consumption and create accurate dive plans.

• Active Gas Balancing – Manage two independent cylinders efficiently, switching regulators at optimal intervals to maintain balance and perfect trim.

Realistic Scenario-Based Training

This is not a follow-the-leader course. You'll be challenged with practical scenarios designed to build muscle memory, awareness, and composure.
